I LOVE MY FRENCHIE BECAUSE..
…because he is such a good sport about everything! Want to stay in all day and watch TV? He is happy to chew his favorite Bark toy. Or snuggle with you on the couch. But, he is also down for a good time out. Whether it’s at the local dog park with his friends or even going out for ice cream in his stroller for a pup cup!
We love our Boston x Frenchie mix (5yo) because he is sassy, goofy and always excited for new toys. He gives the funniest faces and always looks like a baby seal when he looks up at you.
I love my frenchton because he is snuggly and smart, and he’s always so gentle with his little (human) sister.
…because they are the most loving amazing babies ever. They love to play fetch and snuggle. They are the best!

frequently asked questions
How much food should I feed my French Bulldog?
Every dog has a different sweet spot. This has to do with things like age, genetics, lifestyle, digestibility, quality of their food, and any health issues. There are formulas that we and your vet use to estimate where to start, taking these things into consideration. After that, the ultimate answer comes from this question: Is your dog maintaining a healthy, lean body weight? If the answer is YES, you are feeding the perfect amount! If the answer is NO (they are getting a little too skinny or too chubby), then we need to make some gradual adjustments.
How many times should a Frenchie eat?
For most adults, splitting their daily recommended kibble amount into two meals is perfect.
How can I transition my Frenchie to BARK Food?
To transition your Frenchie over to BARK Food, we generally recommend transitioning Food over the course of one week, gradually phasing out the old food and introducing the new. For the first two days offer a meal that is 25% new food and 75% old food. After that, move to 50% and 50% for two days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for two more days. After that your dog should be ready to eat only their new food! During this transition you will monitor for any vomiting, diarrhea, or appetite change that would indicate your dog is having trouble with the new food. For more on transitioning dog foods see our guide here.
What type of bowl is best for my Frenchie?
Small sized and flat-faced, Frenchies will have an easier time with a slanted bowl that sits close to the ground. The slant makes it easier for them to eat food with their short muzzles.
My Frenchie has bad teeth, can they eat this food?
The short answer is: maybe. Dental disease can be a big problem for your dog, especially if it’s advanced. Sometimes bad teeth need soft food, because hard food can be painful or impossible to eat. Small dogs with short or flattened muzzles, like Frenchies, are particularly prone to dental problems and disease because their mouths are too small for all their teeth, potentially causing other complications over time.
Ideally, a vet will address your dog’s dental disease to remove any dead, dying, or broken teeth—they aren't doing a darn thing except causing the world's longest headache and body-wide inflammation. However, if it hasn't or cannot be addressed yet, consider feeding soft food until you can see a vet.
