I love my Pit because..
"I love my blue nose pittie because she's smarter than most people I know!
Her name is Lola Grace"
"I love my pit bulls because they are constantly shattering society's misconceptions about them. Both are certified search & rescue dogs. They are both tenacious searchers who would rather die than give up the search, but melts into a puddle of mush for lovings. They have both done multiple public events (like county fairs, baseball games, Halloween festivals) & taken photos & gotten love from hundreds of kids.
"Professional" handlers look down on them because they're not shepherds, mals, or labs. The public look down on them because they're "dangerous". But the only fight we're interested in is fighting against antiquated breed discrimination."
"I love my breed because Pitbulls are the most loyal and sweetest dogs on the planet. Mischief breaks the stereotypes that are thrown at her everyday. I love my pug breed because they are stubborn, always down for food and love everyone they meet.they’re both rescues from the same shelter"

frequently asked questions
How much food should I feed my Pit bull?
Every dog has a different sweet spot due to things like age, genetics, lifestyle, digestibility and quality of their food, and any health issues. There are formulas that we and your vet use to estimate where to start, taking these things into consideration. After that, the ultimate answer comes from this question: Is your dog maintaining a healthy, lean body weight? If the answer is YES, you are feeding the perfect amount! If the answer is NO (they are getting a little too skinny or too chubby), then we need to make some gradual adjustments.
How many times per day should a Pit bull eat?
For most adults, splitting their daily recommended kibble amount into two meals is perfect.
How can I transition my Pit bull to BARK Food?
To transition your Pit bull over to BARK Food, we generally recommend transitioning food over the course of one week, gradually phasing out the old food and introducing the new. For the first two days offer a meal that is 25% new food and 75% old food. After that, move to 50% and 50% for two days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for two more days. After that your dog should be ready to eat only their new food! During this transition you will monitor for any vomiting, diarrhea, or appetite change that would indicate your dog is having trouble with the new food. For more on transitioning dog foods see our guide here.
What health issues should I be aware of with my Pit bull?
All dogs can get all dog diseases. That said, we have studies that show Pit bulls are prone to allergies (which most commonly manifest as skin issues), intestinal foreign bodies (eating stuff they shouldn't), low B12, elbow dysplasia, some cancers (mast cell tumors in particular), cataracts, hypothyroidism, and cranial cruciate ligament ruptures.
